Getting Revive With Influenster

Back in August, I received my REVIVE BOX from Influenster. The box was filled with complimentary goodies like, SnackWells Biscuit Thins, Plnt (Vanilla), Brew & Renew (package of three different brands of k-cup coffees) and other goodies. This box was created to help revive you or give that extra burst of energy you may need to help finish the day, project or start the week after a long weekend.

My favorite goodies out of the REVIVE BOX was the SnackWells Biscuit Thins. The biscuit thins came in the flavor of French Vanilla Latte, which were made with real coffee. The minute you take a bite of the biscuit thin you can taste the  mixture of sweet french vanilla and coffee. SnackWells Biscuit Thins are crunchy, sweet, and gives you just enough of a caffeine kick to start your day. These biscuits are great alone or with a hot cup of tea or coffee (which I prefer). Starting The School Year Right

It's Wednesday, midway through the fifth week of the school year and everything is going smoothly. My son, Nasir, entered his sophomore year of high school. I can't believe my baby is in the 10th grade. This year his classes are little bit tougher because he's taking two honor classes and one advance class along with his other four classes. I know it's too early in the year to say that he'll pass these classes, but it seems that Nasir is handling theses classes well. Just last Thursday he brought home a progress report and he's doing extremely great. Hr got 3As, 3Bs and low grade, but he said he'll have that grade pulled up by report card. So, I am a happy proud mom. On another note I would like shout out my son's high school football team for being
4-0!! Go Greenville RED RAIDERS!!!! GO GREENVILLE HIGH!!!!!

Sleepless Nights (ZzzQuil To The Rescue)

Lately, I've been battling insomnia something serious, which has lead to many sleepless nights.It seems like I could never clear my mind and get a peaceful night's rest until I tried ZzzQuil Liqui Caps.

Perfecting My New Beauty Regiment

Last month I participated in the "MyBlackIsBeautiful" beauty campaign from BzzAgent. As a bzzagent myself, I was able to test a few beauty samples for free from trusted name brand companies. "MyBlackIsBeautiful" bzzkit arrived in the mail containing samples from Always, Olay, Pantene, and Head & Shoulders. I tried all the samples except for one because it contain an ingredient that I am allergic, too. The one sample I was the happiest with was from Olay.

The Olay sample I tried was Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream (LOVE IT!!) This cream helps to even out your skin tone to give you a more brighter and youthful appearance. It's so lightweight and soft that once you apply it, you forget you're wearing it. I truly love how smooth and soft the cream makes my skin feel. The tone perfecting cream is so lightweight that I can wear it either alone or combine it with my Olay Total Effect 7-in-1 Anti-Aging moisturizer. I am happy with my overall use of Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream.

Back At It Again

It's been awhile since I last wrote on this blog. The last eight months have been pretty insane and hectic,  and left me with a lot of emotions that I wanted to write about but didn't know where to begin. This past August we lost my grandmother to pancreatic cancer and it devastated us all  but especially my mom. As for me I am dealing with her death on my own terms, but that don't mean I don't have my moments because I do and often. I miss my grandmother something terrible because she was more than my grandmother but my best friend and cheerleader. She believed in me more than I did and I loved her for that. But I'm not about to sit here and dwell on the pain and sadness, but I am going to remember the happy moments we shared and the love she brought into this family. My memories will be of laugh and smile, and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren from my son, to my niece, my cousin and her children to my brothers and me. Her love for us was un-measurable and unconditional. I will miss her, but I will try to live life like she did which was full of happiness, love and just enjoying life to the fullest.

Life goes on and must keep moving forward even through the sadness, so I'm back at this thing called blogging and going to give one more try because I love to write and talk about my beautiful dysfunctional family that I was so blessed to be a part of ( sometimes I believe I was adopted, LOL). So please stay tun for roller coaster that is my life as a single mom.
